Growers Encouraged to Vote in 2023 CAC General Election

On September 25, California Avocado Commission 2023 General Election ballots were mailed to commercial producers and handlers of record. California avocado growers are highly encouraged to submit the ballots to the California Department of Food and Agriculture using the postage paid envelope provided. The ballots are due October 25.

The election is for one producer member seat and one producer alternate member seat in each of CAC’s five districts. One handler member seat and one handler alternate member seat also are available. Information about the candidates is available online.  The terms of office for each seat will expire on October 31, 2025.

The ballots will use the ranked voting method in which voters rank candidates in order of their preference. The candidate who receives the highest number of first choice votes will be offered their choice of available seats.
