On June 20, Eurosemillas, SA (Green Motion Platform) and the University California – Riverside will present an informational session concerning the field performance characteristics and sublicensing model of the new BL 516 - Luna UCR avocado variety.
Early Bird Registration for Healthy Soil Summit Ends June 21
From August 23 – 24, AcresUSA is hosting its Annual Healthy Soil Summit in Seaside, CA. The two-day event is designed to help growers improve their soil health management systems by providing two days of expert presentations, a trade show and an optional farm tour.
Avocado Grower Meeting to Cover Pollinizers, World Markets and Alternative Marketing
California avocado growers are invited to attend a California avocado growers' meeting (either in person or via Zoom) on June 14 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The meeting will cover a variety of topics of interest to growers.
Field Tour Event to Focus on Irrigation and Nutrient Management
The Ventura County Resource Conservation District is hosting two Irrigation and Nutrient Management Field Tours on June 1 (3:00 – 6:00 p.m.) and June 2 (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.) in Somis, California. Growers need only attend one session.
In-person Produce Safety Training Sessions Available
This in-person produce safety training session, required by the Food Safety Modernization Act, will cover Good Agricultural Practices, FSMA Produce Safety Rule requirements and how to develop a farm food safety plan.
CAS Seminar to Provide World Avocado Congress Synopsis
The California Avocado Society, in partnership with the California Avocado Commission and the UC-Cooperative Extension, is hosting an Avocado Grower Seminar entitled, “World Avo Congress Comes to California,” that will cover the full gamut of avocado growing topics presented during the World Avocado Congress.
