California avocado industry members impacted by the recent wildfires and/or Santa Ana winds must notify their crop insurance agent within 72 hours of the events; field appointments for growers who have been impacted by the Thomas Fire are available. USDA Farm Service Agency disaster assistance programs also may be available to industry members affected by these natural disasters.

If your grove was damaged by the Thomas Fire or is downhill from a burned area you are encouraged to plan for the possibility of unusual debris laden runoff flows.
