California Avocado Release Dates Available

The California Department of Food and Agriculture’s Avocado Inspection Program has announced the avocado release dates for the 2025-26 season.

The GEM release dates have been divided into two distinct regions. The San Joaquin Valley region includes the following counties: Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Tulare. The Southern and Northern Regions for GEM comprise all other counties within California. Reed dates will be available in the future.

Pine Tree Ranch Field Day — Irrigation, Nutrient Management, Leaf Tissue Tests

The California Avocado Commission will host a grower field day on Thursday, November 13 at the Pine Tree Ranch demonstration grove. Topics include Irrigation and Nutrient Management Reports, the avocado irrigation calculator and leaf sample tissue tests.

CAC Election Alert

On the morning of October 20, the California Avocado Commission learned some completed CAC election ballots that were mailed to the California Department of Food and Agriculture were returned to sender by the U.S. Post Office. Based on the information obtained, the entire voting process must be reconducted.
