COS Training Resource Center is offering Good Agricultural Practices Fieldworker — Train the Trainer sessions in the San Luis Obispo region. These sessions are designed to help employees consistently improve food safety and help them become effective trainers of other fieldworkers.
Participants will learn:
- Best practices concerning when, where and how to train food safety GAPs
- Key elements of training failures
- How to effectively communicate food safety information
- General GAP practices and how they fit into the Food Safety Plan
- Food safety requirements of the grower and farm labor contractor
Attendees will receive materials necessary to deliver training in both English and Spanish.
The fee is $25. The San Luis Obispo session will take place as follows:
