The Resource Conservation District of San Diego is hosting an Irrigation Efficiency Workshop that will be tailored for producers using drip irrigation systems and provide information concerning how growers can obtain a free irrigation assessment of their farm.

California avocado growers are invited to attend a free California Avocado Society workshop in the field at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo on August 2 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Participants will rotate between stations at two field sites and learn from experts.

The Ventura County Resource Conservation District is hosting two Irrigation and Nutrient Management Field Tours on June 1 (3:00 – 6:00 p.m.) and June 2 (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.) in Somis, California. Growers need only attend one session.

This in-person produce safety training session, required by the Food Safety Modernization Act, will cover Good Agricultural Practices, FSMA Produce Safety Rule requirements and how to develop a farm food safety plan.
