The University of California Cooperative Extension Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources is hosting an Avocado Irrigation Workshop in Oxnard, CA.

The workshop will include the following topics:

  • Drought and heat effects on avocado
  • Challenges due to climate change and tools and resources to manage risks
  • Tools and information for effective irrigation management in California avocados
  • Strategies in managing salinity in avocado production
  • Water cost in high density avocado planting and profitability
  • Ventura County RCD irrigation and nutrient management programs and projects
