California avocado growers living in San Diego County are encouraged to attend the Sustainable Agricultural Lands Conservation program’s Forum for Cultivating Solutions. The event is designed to identify solutions to the economic challenges faced by agricultural producers in this region. The event will take place May 27 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the County Operations Center Hearings Chamber located at 5520 Overland Avenue, San Diego, CA.
The event will include:
- In-depth discussions concerning how the County can support the economic sustainability of producers
- Presentations concerning policies, water, land, profitability and food systems
- Market and gap analysis findings
Input from the session will be used to shape SALC’s strategic plan. An open house with refreshments will take place from 9:00 – 9:30 a.m. with presentations to follow. Breakout sessions will occur from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and food will be available.
