The University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources is offering reduced-cost Produce Safety Alliance Grower Trainings. The sessions take place virtually and are just $10 for California residents. California growers should be certain to select the California registration option when registering to ensure they receive the reduced cost option.

On June 11, a virtual meeting will be held to update University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources’ Advisory Panel and avocado growers in Florida and California concerning the progress of laurel wilt-ambrosia beetle research.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has opened applications for Stage 2 of the Supplemental Disaster Relief Program for producers who suffered crop, tree, bush or vine losses due to natural disasters that took place in 2023-24. To provide growers with more information about Stage 2 of the SDRP, the USDA California Farm Service Agency is hosting a one-hour webinar.

Ag Pass cards are designed to provide key agricultural personnel with a means of confirming that their services are essential to protecting or caring for agricultural assets in the event of a natural disaster. To obtain an Ag Pass card, applicants must meet the eligibility criteria and complete a four-hour in-person training session.
