Growers and Industry Members Encouraged to Complete Heatwave Impact Survey
To better understand the impact of the heatwave on the 2025 California avocado crop volume, CAC has drafted a brief survey. The Commission highly encourages California avocado growers and industry members to complete the survey as data from the survey will help CAC refine heatwave responses by area based on the specificity of responses.

Produce industry maven Jan DeLyser announced her plan to retire from the California Avocado Commission after 24 years of service to the organization. The tentative timing for her retirement is mid-February 2023.
Application Available for 2023 On-farm Food Safety Expenses Assistance
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety Certification for Specialty Crops program provides specialty crop producers with financial assistance for certain on-farm food safety program expenses. The 2023 application will become available on February 1, 2023.
Commission Showcases 2023 California Avocado Crop at Chain Restaurant Roundtable
The California Avocado Commission foodservice team attended the Kinetic 12 Emergence Operator-Supplier Roundtable event in early December, taking advantage of a key opportunity to educate purchasing and supply chain decision-makers about the benefits and value of California avocados.
