Growers and Industry Members Encouraged to Complete Heatwave Impact Survey
To better understand the impact of the heatwave on the 2025 California avocado crop volume, CAC has drafted a brief survey. The Commission highly encourages California avocado growers and industry members to complete the survey as data from the survey will help CAC refine heatwave responses by area based on the specificity of responses.

CAC Board Alternate Producer Seats Available in Districts 1, 3 and 5
The California Avocado Commission has three alternate producer seats available on the CAC Board of Directors for districts 1, 3 and 5. The vacancies will be filled by a majority vote of the Board at a meeting held on March 14 and those appointed will serve through October 31, 2023.
Commission Hosts AMRIC Handler Webinar Showcasing 2023 Crop and Marketing Plans
On January 10, the California Avocado Commission hosted a virtual AMRIC Handler Webinar to kick off collaborative efforts designed to build successful distribution and promotion of California avocados for the 2023 season, and build awareness of the support CAC can provide retailers and foodservice operators.

Produce Safety Training in San Diego Area
Members of the California avocado industry in need of satisfying the Food Safety Modernization Act Produce Safety Rule requirement are encouraged to attend the Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training Course that will be held on February 22.
