Foodservice Restaurant Chains Eager to Promote California Avocados on the Menu

The core of the Commission’s foodservice program is partnering with restaurant chains who not only purchase California avocados in-season but also see the value of marketing and promoting them to their fans and guests. This year, 15 restaurant chains with a strong presence in California and the western US promoted California avocados on their menu in-store, on TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, in email blasts and on their websites from May 1 to August 15 with key messaging around local, seasonal and sustainable. This past year, the Commission added three new chain partners to the roster: Mendocino Farms (42 units in Southern California only), Dos Coyotes Border Café (10 units in Sacramento) and Fresh Brothers Pizza (20 units in Los Angeles).
