The piece titled, Trump Can Protect California Avocado Farmers and Take a Bite Out of Mexican Cartels Too, makes a strong case for protecting California avocado growers while confronting cartel influence in Mexico’s avocado industry, reinforcing concerns CAC has raised about the impact of surging imports, security threats and compromised oversight on domestic production.
