Growers and Industry Members Encouraged to Complete Heatwave Impact Survey
To better understand the impact of the heatwave on the 2025 California avocado crop volume, CAC has drafted a brief survey. The Commission highly encourages California avocado growers and industry members to complete the survey as data from the survey will help CAC refine heatwave responses by area based on the specificity of responses.

Ambrosia Beetle Research Project Seeks California Avocado Groves to Survey
Dr. Paul Rugman-Jones is collaborating with University of Florida researchers on a project called, "Sustaining avocado production in the face of the lethal laurel wilt disease". As part of this project, he is looking to survey California avocado groves located in Ventura, San Diego and Riverside/San Bernardino Counties.
CUSP Drought Relief Grants Available
The Community Alliance with Family Farmers is accepting applications for the California Underserved and Small Producer Drought Relief Grant Program. The CUSP program provides grants up to $20,000 to reimburse producers for drought-related losses and expenses that occurred within the last three years.

As part of its customized marketing support for retailers, the California Avocado Commission provides recipe videos featuring California avocados that participating customers can feature on their social channels. This Video of the Month is only 47-seconds long and showcases CAC’s newly-developed, retail-friendly recipe for Deli Chicken Soft Tacos with California Avocados.
