Ag Pass Approved for Unincorporated Region of San Diego
The Agriculture and Livestock Pass Program has been approved for unincorporated regions of San Diego. The Ag Pass allows commercial agriculture or livestock operators to access restricted areas during a natural disaster to care for crops and animals and to work on irrigation systems, farm equipment and infrastructure, as well as structural fire protection.
The Ag Pass allows law enforcement and fire officials to identify agricultural operators at roadblocks and evacuated areas and determine whether the pass holder can enter the area based on existent safety issues. The pass does not permit the individual to ignore evacuation orders and does not guarantee access — pass holders must obey law enforcement and fire personnel as conditions can change quickly.
Online applications for the Ag Pass are now available. Complete information is available online. Questions and completed applications can be sent to [email protected].
