Phase One of CDFA’s Produce Safety Program Online Portal Launches
The California Department of Food and Agriculture Produce Safety Program has launched the first phase of its PSP data repository website (or Farm Data Repository) that allows growers to view their own digital farm inspection records and reports. The database will be searchable and allow growers to verify and update records. In addition, the website will provide access to PSP resources and allow growers to connect with PSP staff.
Beginning in 2024, farms required to comply with the Food Safety Modernization Act PSP rule will be added to the PSP portal on an ongoing basis. Once added, growers will receive a welcome email with instructions concerning how to create an online account and verify their information. As part of the first phase, growers will be able to access farm data from their own operation and update farm business information as needed.
The second phase will allow growers to view inspection results and respond to action requests, upload request documents and send and respond to messages within the system.
