Agricultural Pass Program Training Available

  • Jan 16, 2025

The Agricultural Pass Program provides members of agricultural operations with access to restricted areas during or following a natural disaster to care for livestock, maintain irrigation access, access property/facilities that are part of the operation and transport/deliver necessary equipment for irrigation systems. In some instances, those with Ag Passes will require an escort. In addition, for safety purposes access to the operation will be dependent on the approval of emergency personnel who are on site.

The Ventura County Fire, Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services and the Department of Agriculture Weights and Measures are offering an in-person Ag Pass training course in English and Spanish. This course satisfies the training required to secure an Ag Pass.

The course will take place on January 23 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at 11251-8 Riverbank D, Ventura, CA. To register for this course or obtain more information, contact Alec Thile at 805.933.2926 or [email protected].
