Upcoming Avocado Pollinator Workshop
On February 5, the California Avocado Society will host its next seminar “Pollination, Pollinators, Pollinizers and Supplemental Pollen” in person and via Zoom. The event will take place from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. For those who choose to attend in person, the seminar will be held at the United Water Conservation District located at 1701 Lombard Street, Oxnard, CA.
The seminar content will be as follows:
- The flower
- Pollination basics
- Pollen carriers (pollinators)
- Pollen donors (pollinizers)
- History of supplemental pollen use
The speakers include Mary Lu Arpaia, UC Riverside; Hamutahl Cohen, UC Cooperative Extension, Adam Lamber, UC Santa Barbara; and Marllon Soares de Santos, UC Riverside.
