The Hass Avocado Board is seeking to fill a producer alternate vacancy on its Board. The term for this position expires October 31, 2026.
As a HAB board member, participants can play a leadership role in developing the avocado industry. HAB provides supply and market data, conducts nutrition research, educates health professionals and brings industry leaders together to make avocados America’s most popular fruit.
To be eligible to serve on the Board, the producer nominee must be:
- Domiciled in the U.S.
- Engaged in the business of producing Hass avocados in the U.S. for commercial use, who owns or shares ownership and risk of loss of said Hass avocados
- Subject to assessments under the Hass Avocado Promotion, Research and Information Order

Or interested persons may attend the HAB meeting, tentatively scheduled for 11:45 a.m. on May 29 at Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach, a Hilton Resort, 1 Ponto Road, Carlsbad, CA where nominations will be taken from the floor. The interested person does not need to be present to be considered for the vacancy.
