Produce Business Honors CAC for “Marketing Excellence”
“And the award goes to…”
It is officially awards season in the produce marketing industry, and the California Avocado Commission earned one of the highest honors in August when trade publication Produce Business recognized CAC’s “What’s Inside a California Avocado?” marketing campaign in its “36th Annual Marketing Excellence Awards.
CAC’s program was one of only 15 campaigns recognized in the prestigious awards program, which honors programs that are “leading the way in marketing for the fresh produce industry.”
Launched in April, the “What’s Inside a California Avocado?” campaign worked to encourage demand, awareness and preference for California avocados. Highlighting the key messaging of “locally grown and sustainably farmed,” the campaign spotlighted the California difference by transporting viewers to the heart of California avocado groves to showcase grower families’ deep roots and the responsible growing practices that uniquely position California avocados as a premium product.
This is the 13th consecutive year that the Commission has been honored with a Produce Business Marketing Excellence Award.
