Erik’s DeliCafé Showcases Early Spring California Avocados
Loyal chain partner Erik’s DeliCafé transitioned to California avocados in early spring to promote the use of local produce to their customers; a move they have been committed to for the past three years. Throughout the promotions, which will run from March 27 through May 14, the foodservice chain will feature fresh California avocados in a variety of menu items and showcase the California Avocados brand logo on its digital channels.
Erik’s DeliCafé will run their six-week promotion across 27 units throughout the Northern California San Francisco Bay Area. To celebrate the early California avocado season, the chain will feature fresh California avocados on their Pilgrim’s Progress, Turkey with Pesto, Rio Grande Club, Natural High, Del Monte Special and Farmer’s Market sandwiches, as well as the Baja Fiesta Salad.
The California Avocados brand logo has been placed on the chain’s website in two locations and will be used in five social media posts on Facebook and Instagram. In addition, Erik’s DeliCafé will tag the California Avocado Commission on its social media posts using CAC’s social handles. By partnering with foodservice chains like Erik’s DeliCafé to feature premium California avocados on their menu and showcase the logo on the chain’s digital channels, the Commission can reach a wide audience and provide additional exposure for the premium fruit that encourages demand for and loyalty to the California Avocados brand.
In addition, these foodservice chain partnerships increase consumer awareness with fresh California avocado menu items that may inspire consumers to incorporate the fruit into their meals at home.
