Advertising Production: Capturing the California Avocado Journey from Grove to Table
From February 24 – 27, the California Avocado Commission and its consumer marketing agency Curious Plot partnered for a dynamic video and photo session in the San Diego area for CAC’s 2025 “What’s Inside a California Avocado?” consumer advertising campaign.
The sessions produced captivating imagery highlighting the premium quality and delicious flavor of California avocados. They also highlighted authentic moments of consumers preparing and enjoying the fruit in real-life settings including in the kitchen, in the living room and enjoying an outdoor meal in the California sunshine.
CAC’s “What’s Inside a California Avocado?” campaign will continue to spotlight growers, with this year’s ads taking it a step further by incorporating consumers from the February shoot. The goal: to reinforce the care, dedication and passion behind every California avocado – from grove to table. The new ads debut on April 1.
Quick Retail Update
All the major national chains and key regional chains who purchase California avocados have been called upon by California Avocado Commission retail marketing directors to initiate marketing programs for the 2025 season. Promotion agreements are flowing in, and the RMDs are working on commitments, spending plans and coordination with handlers.
In California some retailers have begun to carry California avocados. An example of a retail promotion in support of the Big Game was covered in this issue.
