The February 13 California Avocado Commission’s Virtual Field Day Webinar is now available online. The webinar covers a variety of topics of interest to California avocado growers including:
- A discussion of the new Irrigation and Nutrient Management Plan regulations that are in place. Growers must have an INMP in place by March 1. Jodi Switzer, Water Program Director for the Farm Bureau of Ventura County walks growers through the process.
- Dr. Dany Klittich, Director of Agronomy for Mission Produce, Inc. and CAC production Research Committee Chair discusses the avocado lace bug, common pests and bugs that look like pests but are not.
- Pruning best practices are showcased by Dr. Ben Faber, UC Farm Advisor and Dr. Tim Spann, CAC Research Program Consultant.
