UPDATE on CAC's grower petition to USDA: 727 growers signed

Following is an update on the California Avocado Commission’s efforts calling for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Mexico avocado inspections to return to their long-standing program requirements. On January 28 CAC closed the online grower petition in support of CAC's letter to USDA Secretary Designate Brooke Rollins with 727 growers signing on (view the list of growers who signed the petition). This is a great response in only eight days! A big thank you to all of you who signed!  

As we are all seeing, President Trump’s administration is acting quickly on many fronts and the Commission is working overtime trying to get our concerns addressed. We will keep you posted as more information becomes available.
