Online Nominations Now Being Accepted for 10 Vacancies on HAB Board

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is now accepting nominations for three producer and two importer members and three producer and two importer alternates to serve three-year terms on the Hass Avocado Board. Appointed members will serve from November 1, 2023 through October 31, 2026.

HAB supports the national marketing and promotion of Hass avocados and is comprised of 12 members. Each member also has an alternate. Nominations may be submitted online now through March 31, 2023. Voting for HAB also will take place online.

There are six producer vacancies at this time. To be eligible, nominees must live in the U.S and be engaged in producing Hass avocados for commercial use. Four importer seats also are open on the board. To be eligible, importers must be domiciled in the U.S. and be involved in the substantial importation of Hass avocados for sale or marketing in the United States.
