On June 5, the San Diego County Local Agency Formation Commission will host an in-person hearing in which the Fallbook PUD and Rainbow MWD wholesaler reorganization proposal will be discussed. The proposal seeks to transfer wholesale water service from the San Diego County Water Authority to the Eastern Municipal Water District.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has extended the June 2 deadline for the Emergency Relief Program Phase Two and Pandemic Assistance Revenue Program to July 14. In addition, the USDA Farm Service Agency has partnered with organizations to assist applicants with the ERP and PARP process.

This volunteer position — which will run through October 31, 2024 — provides the member with an opportunity to represent the community and have a voice in the future of the California avocado industry.
