Handler Alternate Member Vacancy on CAC Board

The California Avocado Commission has a Handler Alternate Member seat available on the CAC Board of Directors. The appointed person will serve through the unexpired portion of the term — October 31, 2025. The vacancy will be filled by a majority vote held at a CAC Board meeting on August 15.

Handlers interested in serving on the CAC Board must complete a Handler Affidavit of Eligibility, a Handler Candidate Statement and a Handler Disclosure of Affiliations. The forms are available in the right-hand navigation. All forms must be completed and submitted by August 7. Qualifications for the handler position are as follows:

• Nominee shall certify they meet the definition of a handler as defined by CAC: “has a financial interest in handling avocados for market either through ownership, employment or membership in a legal entity which is actively and directly engaged in the handling of avocados.”
• Nominees must complete and submit all required documents and maintain their qualifications throughout the term of their office.
